the Axarqu\u00eda region. Its lands rise up to La Maroma (peak 2,065 m) through a landscape of pine forests and rocky outcrops that covers almost the entire northern half of the municipality and forms part of the Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park.<\/p>\n<p>The municipality has an area of 42km2. and is situated at an altitude of 645 m with a population of 2300 inhabitants.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb87523 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"eb87523\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Reconocidos por nuestros positivos esfuerzos de reciclaje<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bb19d43 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bb19d43\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Desde hace varios a\u00f1os, los lugare\u00f1os crean un espectacular despliegue de adornos navide\u00f1os con material reciclado.  Los intrincados adornos se han convertido en una atracci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica en s\u00ed misma, con gente que los visita expresamente para verlos.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Resulta ir\u00f3nico que un pueblo que apoya incondicionalmente el reciclado de residuos se convierta en un centro de tratamiento de residuos en la provincia de M\u00e1laga.<\/p><p>Gracias a Roc\u00edo Ortiz Garc\u00eda por
